We've crossed a line in the sand Time to refute Beyond sense of decency How did we become so vacant and volatile? To see a lose, a death As nothing more than a stance? Arguments without any action Nothings changed Can we hope that everyone will understand? Just thoughts. Just prayers. Not enough of us that will disagree But why can't we see, that it will take more than reflections and gods? We ask for safety They give us leniency Can we hope that everyone will understand? Just thoughts. Just prayers. Not enough of us that will disagree But why can't we see, that it will take more than reflections and gods? We ask for safety They give us leniency If turmoil is your nature We'll pave your paradise. If violence is your paint We'll turpentine to deface.

Self centered Self absorbed What a reward, to be your presence. Underwhelming in every sense We're rarely impressed. Breathe your air around you We've had our fill Breathe your air around you We've had our fill I'm fine with you assuming That I'm the most boring human being. Step outside and try to enjoy anything more Than what you're sure you know.

about

With one week to go before the November 6th mid-term elections, we hope that these two songs can accomplish two things:
1) Remember to vote and educate yourself on policies and candidates that support effective gun control laws in our communities.
2) To consider donating to or advocating for Gabby Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence. It is certainly helpful to share your thought on social media, but consider doing more through action, whether with a donation, a vote, canvassing for a candidate, or more.

Giffords Law Center works at the local, state, and national levels by providing technical assistance, free of charge, to lawmakers, advocates, legal professionals, law enforcement, and citizens who seek to make their communities safer from gun violence. By providing critical support for the enactment of effective and defensible legislation at the state and local levels, we fill gaps in federal policy and demonstrate that we can enact gun safety measures that save thousands of lives and do not threaten Second Amendment rights.

"Many types of gun laws are effective at reducing gun deaths and injuries, keeping guns away from criminals and other prohibited people, and fighting illegal gun trafficking. The Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence tracks important studies proving that smart laws can and do work to prevent gun violence." - lawcenter.giffords.org/facts/statistics/
